My affordable rates will help us both. Rates:I offer a free initial consultation so that you and I can determine what the look and feel of your web site will be ultimately. This will include a basic mock-up site of one or two pages so that we can determine if you like my ideas, style, etc. Please look through my Gallery of websites that I have done so far to see if I match your taste at all. Please note that I do NOT do CGI, fancy forms, or database-type websites...my websites are simple and basic and artistic. I believe that "less is more" and that websites do not have to be elaborate or complicated to be good. I do incorporate some sound and javascripts on my websites, but I do not get into technologies such as "Flash". Although it is cutting edge and very cool, not everybody wants to wait for a fancy, fluffy, sparkly website to "load" for 10 minutes. It's like a chocolate-covered hamburger. Doesn't make sense. I am too impatient and have too much to do to than to sit there and wait for something to "finish looking good". I took an informal poll and most of the people I talk to on a regular basis agree. This is an impatient world we live in...people just want to get in....get info they need...and get out...quickly. Also, not everybody has up-to-date, high-speed computers. How do I feel about Flash? I charge $400- $800 per website. Re-design of an existing website starts at $400.In addition to the above flat rates, I will offer to host and maintain your website for a year for $240 a year (non-refundable).That's only $20 a month, folks! This includes simple website updates and changes. This does not mean that several weeks after I design your graphics the way you want to that you can decide... "Ummmm...no....I don't like that anymore....can you do this completely different thing instead?" Pricing example: If I give you a rate of $500 for your website and you choose me to host it, add $240 to that for hosting for one year. This $240 is a yearly re-occurring charge (renewable when the year is up), and is NON-REFUNDABLE if you choose to go with someone else mid-stream! You can choose to pay that directly to the web hosting company, but then you will not get to call them up and ask them to change this or that...all they do is hold your files for you.Do you want a logo? This will cost $300. It includes at least two different styles (and up to 4).Do you want a flier designed? This will cost $100. Do you want a business card designed? This will cost $100. I am also very well-connected in regards to the printing industry, so if you do need business cards, letterhead and fliers printed as well, boy have I got some deals for you! Do you want your own domain name? This will cost $15 a year. There will be a contract that you will read and sign Note: Please be realistic about what you really want. If you want a twenty-six page website with twenty forms and 10 flash animations complete with a unique, personally-written soundtrack, twenty-page, three hundred-image photo gallery of your sailing trip across lake Michigan, which must, at all costs, be password-protected, expect to pay better than 3 bucks an hour.
